Wallets and identity
agent wallet
An agent wallet is an account an agent can sign with, or the account where it receives payment. It may be an ordinary key, a smart wallet, or a custodial account at a provider. ERC-8004 reserves an agentWallet field for the payment address of a registered agent. Holding that field does not put the wallet's transfers into Agent GDP.
Explanation
x402 needs a signer that can produce the payment payload, often an EIP-3009 signature over USDC. MPP sessions need a signer for channel vouchers and a deposit. ACP does not need a chain wallet at all when the merchant charges a card token. Those are different wallets, and some agents have more than one.
The index attributes the onchain buyer and seller addresses on settlements it already accepts. It does not label a buyer as an agent because the address is in an ERC-8004 registry, and it does not drop a buyer because it is not. Custodial products that never publish a settlement log stay outside the total even if they market an agent wallet.
