Wallets and identity
AI agent
An AI agent is software that pursues a goal by choosing and calling tools, often in a loop around a language model. It can be the HTTP client in x402, the voucher signer in an MPP session, or the shopping agent in AP2 and ACP. This index does not decide which payers are agents.
Explanation
MCP is one way an agent reaches tools. A2A is one way it reaches other agents. Neither standard settles money. The payment protocols are the layer that moves value, and they can also be called by a script that nobody would call an agent. The chain cannot see the difference.
Agent GDP is the settled volume of the payment protocols it can read. The name describes the activity those protocols were built for. It is not a classifier over wallets. A facilitator transfer from a human wallet is still in the raw total. Leaving it out would require an identity system the settlement log does not contain.
