Assets and chains
pathUSD
pathUSD is a quote token on Tempo. MPP session channels can be opened in pathUSD, and this index prices that token at one dollar with 6 decimals when a Settled event belongs to such a channel. It is not USDC, and it is not given a market price.
Explanation
Tempo's quote-token docs describe pathUSD as a quote asset on the network. The MPP session server method documents pathUSD for the testnet configuration, and OUSD with a USDC.e fallback on mainnet. A channel is denominated in the token recorded at ChannelOpened. The later Settled event carries the amount but not the token, so the indexer joins the two logs.
OUSD, USDC.e, and USDT0 are priced the same way when they are the channel token: one-to-one, 6 decimals. Any other token is skipped. pathUSD volume therefore appears in the MPP and Tempo totals only after a real Settled delta, not because a channel was opened or quoted.
