ERC-4337
ERC-4337 is an Ethereum standard for account abstraction without a consensus change. Users send UserOperations to an alternative mempool. Bundlers submit them. A paymaster can pay the gas under its own rules. It is a wallet standard. It is not an agent-payment protocol.
Explanation
The ERC specifies validation, execution, and the paymaster hooks. Applications use it so a person or an agent can operate a contract wallet without holding the chain's native fee token. That overlaps with gas sponsorship in x402, but the mechanism is different: a paymaster sponsors a UserOperation, while an x402 facilitator usually submits an EIP-3009 token transfer from its own account.
Nevermined and other products document ERC-4337 based x402 schemes. This index does not have a complete public settler list for those schemes, so it does not open a separate series. If the same USDC movement is sent by a registered x402 facilitator, it is already counted in x402.
